Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds is a 13-time GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist, songwriter, producer, and one of the most celebrated creative forces in music history. He is the only producer to win the ‘Producer of the Year’ category four times, three times of which were in consecutive years (1995-1997); a record he holds to this day. Kenny is also co-founder of the legendary record label LaFace, which launched the careers of artists like Usher, Toni Braxton, TLC, Outkast, and P!nk.

MC Lyte

MC Lyte is a prominent figure in female rap, becoming famous in the late 1980s when she released "Lyte as a Rock," the first album by a solo female rapper, in 1988. Beyond her music career, she is an author, DJ, motivational speaker, and philanthropist, sharing her insights on the entertainment industry, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment worldwide. She is also an honorary member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., where she has been involved for over 15 years, emphasizing the importance of service and sisterhood in her participation.

NEPHEW TOMMY

Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles is a multifaceted entertainer known for his work in radio, television, and film. As co-host of the Steve Harvey Morning Show, he engages over 8 million listeners daily, famous for his prank calls and vibrant characters. A successful stand-up comedian, he was also the exclusive opening act on the Luther Vandross tour for three years. Additionally, he is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., initiated at Texas Southern University and later a charter member at Texas A&M University.

Chanté Moore

Chanté Moore began her vocal career during the new jack swing era and has achieved over a dozen songs on Billboard’s R&B chart. Growing up on gospel music and inspired by a high-school performance of The Wiz, she knew she wanted to be a singer. At 22, she was discovered by producer Louil Silas and released her debut album, Precious, in 1992, which went gold thanks to hits like “Love’s Taken Over.” After a hiatus from solo work, in 2001 she recorded albums with her then-husband, Kenny Lattimore. Following their divorce, she released Moore Is More in 2013 and appeared in R&B Divas LA. More recent projects include The Rise of the Phoenix and the Christmas Back to You holiday album, both released in 2017.

Take 6 comprised of Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea, and Khristian Dentley, has received numerous accolades, including 10 GRAMMY® Awards, 10 Dove Awards, 2 NAACP Image Awards, and a Soul Train Award, among others. They continue to showcase their extraordinary vocals to audiences around the world. In April 2018, they released their 16th album, titled ICONIC (SRG/Universal), and debuted a PBS special called The Summit, in collaboration with The Manhattan Transfer. The group has come a long way since their formation in 1980 by Claude McKnight at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. Oakwood College is a respected HBCU known for its strong musical tradition, particularly within the Seventh-day Adventist community.

Debbie Allen

Debbie Allen (Co-Host) is an iconic American actress, dancer, choreographer, director, and producer. She is best known for her role as Lydia Grant in the television series Fame (1982–1987), where she also served as the principal choreographer. A graduate of the prestigious HBCU Howard University, she earned a degree in classical Greek literature, speech, and theater. Throughout her career, Allen has won five Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition to her acting and choreography work, she has directed and produced shows such as A Different World and Grey's Anatomy. Allen is also the founder of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) in Los Angeles. Founded in 2001, DADA provides young people, especially youth of color and low-income children, with opportunities to study dance and theater.

Norm Nixon

Norm Nixon (Co-Host) is a legendary NBA point guard who played for the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Diego/Los Angeles Clippers. A key player during the Lakers' "Showtime" era, he won two championships in 1980 and 1982. Nixon attended Duquesne University, where he earned All-American honors before being drafted by the Lakers in 1977. He became a two-time NBA All-Star, finishing his career with 12,065 points and 6,386 assists. After retiring, Nixon pursued various business ventures and worked as a sports commentator. He is married to actress and choreographer Debbie Allen and we are honored to have them as co-hosts of Homecoming: The Cruise.
