Take 6 comprised of Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea, and Khristian Dentley, has received numerous accolades, including 10 GRAMMY® Awards, 10 Dove Awards, 2 NAACP Image Awards, and a Soul Train Award, among others. They continue to showcase their extraordinary vocals to audiences around the world. In April 2018, they released their 16th album, titled ICONIC (SRG/Universal), and debuted a PBS special called The Summit, in collaboration with The Manhattan Transfer. The group has come a long way since their formation in 1980 by Claude McKnight at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. Oakwood College is a respected HBCU known for its strong musical tradition, particularly within the Seventh-day Adventist community.
